A Peek Inside MOA's New Radisson Blu Hotel
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Radisson Blu, the new hotel connected to the Mall of America, is nearing completion.
It won't open until March 15, but WCCO got a look inside today at the 500-room hotel that expects its rooms to run about $200.
"Every room has a refrigerator, which is really convenient for families to bring on the weekend for whatever they need for their kids," said hotel general manager Harry Gorstayn.
Rooms also have rain showers.
"So basically it comes to you from the top, and it balances your body as the water falls down," Gorstayn said. "You can walk in and out of it, which people seem to enjoy a lot.
"We have a restaurant that seats 175 guests, and we have a bar in the front that seats about 150."
Also, the Radisson Blu's swimming pool uses salt water instead of chlorine, so there's no swimming pool smell.
