St. Paul Winter Carnival Kicks Off Thursday
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- The "Coolest Celebration on Earth" kicks off Thursday in St. Paul and runs through Feb. 3.
The 127th St. Paul Winter Carnival's 50-plus events are free, open to the public and located around downtown St. Paul and the capitol city's surrounding areas.

The St. Paul Heritage and Festival Foundation manages and produces the St. Paul Winter Carnival that dates back to 1886.
