MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Sorry Morrissey fans, Friday’s concert at Minneapolis’ Orpheum Theatre has been postponed, the singer’s production company announced Thursday.
The postponement – the press release made sure to note it wasn’t’ a cancellation – is due to a band member’s illness. The production company said those with tickets should “stay tuned for information” regarding the new playdate.
Those with tickets to the Oct. 29, 2012, show — which also didn’t happen — will have those tickets honored at the rescheduled show, and they will not need to be exchanged.
The singer said he thanks everyone for their “understanding and patience.” His tour will resume on Monday in Asheville, NC.
