ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say a man was arrested Thursday in connection with stabbing following an attempted burglary earlier this month.

Adam John Hinnenkamp, 23, was arrested Thursday outside the St. Cloud Corrections Office. Police said on Jan. 12 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., he entered a residence on the 800 block of Germain Street West. While trying to steal property from inside the residence, Hinnenkamp was confronted by a resident.

After an altercation, Hinnenkamp cut the resident with a knife. The resident suffered minor injuries in the incident. Hinnenkamp was booked into the Stearns County Jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary and aggravated robbery. The incident is still under investigation.
