MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a Friday night shooting on the city’s south side sent two men to the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Sgt. Bill Palmer, with Minneapolis Police, said the men were shot while in a car which then crashed into a building on the 1000 block of East 36th Street, just south of Powderhorn Park.

One man suffered a gunshot wound to the head, the other suffered a wound to the arm. Both are in stable condition. Their names were not given.

No one is in custody, Palmer said. And no word was given as to the exact time of the shooting, or to why it happened.
