ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Some folks might dress up as Norwegian bachelor farmers when Garrison Keillor hosts a masked ball in St. Paul.
Keillor is hosting “A Prairie Home Companion Masked Ball” at the Fitzgerald Theater on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 9 p.m.
After that evening’s “A Prairie Home Companion” broadcast, the crew will clear the Fitzgerald stage to make way for Mardi Gras-style dancing.
Pianist Butch Thompson and his New Orleans Orphans will provide the music. Keillor also will be joined by guitarist Pat Donohue and His Shoes and singer Topsy Chapman.
The ball is open to the public and costs $25. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or at the Fitzgerald box office.
Masks will be on sale in the lobby, but those attending are welcome to bring their own.
