COON RAPIDS, Minn. (WCCO) — Some people up in Coon Rapids are dealing with a second round of sewage in their basements after another water main break Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to fix the busted pipe around 7 a.m. near the area of 111th and Hanson Boulevard. City officials said as many as seven homes have what the city describes as “significant” sewage back-ups in their basements.
Officials said they’re not exactly sure what caused the break, but the freeze/thaw cycle we’ve had over the last few weeks may have had a role.
