ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — There’s a send-off Wednesday afternoon for nearly two dozen Minnesota soldiers that are heading to Afghanistan.
Twenty three soldiers with the 847th Human Resources Company are getting ready for deployment. Once they make it overseas, they will help run a military post office and make sure your letters and care packages get delivered.
The Army is holding a farewell ceremony for them at Fort Snelling Wednesday. It’s scheduled for 2 p.m.
