MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in Grant County, which is in northwestern Minnesota near Fergus Falls, are advising no travel in the area due to poor bad road conditions and poor visibility.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office in Elbow Lake, which is a little less than three hours northwest of Minneapolis, says people should stay off the roads and stay at home if at all possible. Several inches of snow fell in the area Wednesday, and now sub-zero temperatures and bone-chilling wind chills are creating hazardous and icy road conditions.
Authorities didn’t specify how long they are advising no travel for, but that motorists should stay off roads for now.
