Goin' To The (Frozen) Lake: Frank & Chris Visit Gull Lake
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Every Thursday and Friday til the end of February, we're going to your favorite frozen lakes.
On Thursday, Frank Vascellaro and Chris Shaffer headed up to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Wind chills were recorded as low as 40 below, but that didn't stop the two from visiting Gull Lake in Nisswa – one of the cities in the area -- and its Grandview Lodge.

The cold also didn't stop them for competing in the Ice Olympics, or 6-year-old Calia from dog sledding.

The Brainerd Lakes Area is home to some 100,000 people and it includes the cities of Brainerd, Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, and Nisswa.

You can't go to Brainerd without running into Paul Bunyan – even in burger form.

For dinner, the guys got some lobster mac and cheese at Cru.

And when Frank and Chris weren't out on Gull Lake facing subzero wind chills, they were netting some quality relaxation.

On Friday, the guys will go snowmobiling, play snow golf, and go tubing.
