MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun.

This weekend, you’ll be able to celebrate winter in the Twin Cities or treat your cabin fever. Here are some top entertainment bets if you’ looking to get out and have some fun this weekend.

Dog Days at the Dome

Thursday is Dog Days at the Dome. If your pup has cabin fever or maybe you do, head to the Metrodome in Minneapolis for an off-leash indoor play date. Tickets are $5 and free parking is available at gate B.

City of Lakes Loppet

This first weekend in February marks the return of the City of Lakes Loppet. It’s a cross-country ski festival featuring the beautiful trails and lakes of the Twin Cities.

There will be family-friendly events all weekend including snow sculpting and live music.

Minneapolis Boat Show

If you’ve had enough of winter, go dream about summer at the Minneapolis Convention Center this weekend.

The Progressive Boat Show starts Thursday and goes through Sunday. See new boats and check out hundreds of booths showcasing the latest in engines, electronics, fishing gear and accessories.
