Burn 1,000 Calories While Boxing
EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) -- There are boxing clubs popping up all over the Twin Cities, with women making up a big percentage of those hitting the ring.
Jamie Yuccas went Title Boxing Club in Edina to see what the fuss is about.
John Kent is the lead instructor and big time motivator.
"There's no better way to stay in shape than, you know, boxing," he said. "You're getting such a high-intensity cardio workout, and a resistance workout at the same time."
And that's why classes are filling up.
"This is a whole body workout," said one boxer. "I found muscles that I haven't used for decades."
And women are coming in to take on this challenge more often than guys.
In addition to strength training, the class can burn up to 1,000 calories.
