DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Goalie Juho Olkinuora made 26 saves to lead Denver to a 3-0 win Friday over Minnesota-Duluth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Olkinuora turned away a game-high 10 shots in the second period for the Pioneers (14-8-4, 9-6-4), who snapped a six-game road winless skid.
Larkin Jacobson, Joey LaLeggia and Nolan Zajac scored goals for the 10th-ranked Pioneers.
LaLeggia’s goal in the second period was on the power play. But it was the only power-play goal in seven chances allowed by UMD goalie Matt McNeely, who made 22 stops.
The Bulldogs (10-12-3, 8-8-3) was 0-for-6 with a man advantage.
