MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Guthrie Theater will offer discounted adult tickets and on-site child care during select Saturday matinees this season.
The Guthrie is partnering with the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities to offer a new program, called “Play Care.”
For $10 per child, the YMCA will provide child care in the Guthrie’s Learning Center for children ages 4 to 11 while parents attend a matinee for $20 to $25, depending on the seating area.
Tickets for 10 Play Care dates go on sale Friday, Feb. 8, at noon. Tickets must be purchased in advance through the Guthrie box office, in person or by phone.
The first Play Care matinee is Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” on Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m.
