MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Friday night’s snow, which brought 1 to 3 inches of fresh powder to the Twin Cities, was just the first of several chances for snow over the next few days.
The next shot will develop Saturday afternoon with a weak clipper moving in from the northwest. The snow will once again be very “dry” and fluffy, meaning strong winds later tonight could lead to reduced visibility from blowing snow. Another 1 to 2 inches are possible, with some spots seeing even more.
Super Bowl Sunday will produce until another chance for snow developing that night, and then yet another chance for snow Monday night into Tuesday.
Each system on its own isn’t likely to produce more than a couple inches of snow. But with four doses over a five-day stretch, some locations could see double digit snowfall totals by Tuesday morning.
