RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WCCO) – A water main broke in River Falls on Monday afternoon, affecting a dozen homes and a middle school.

According to the city administrator, the water main broke at 9th Street between Hazel and Cedar streets. Drinking water will be shut off at 5 p.m. until the pipe can be repaired and the water can be tested for contamination.

A dozen homes and Meyer Middle School will be without water for 4-6 hours during the repair.
