Wild Trade Powe, Palmieri For Rangers' Rupp

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Wild announced Monday it has traded Darroll Powe and Nick Palmieri to acquire Mike Rupp from the New York Rangers.

The move comes as the team has made several adjustments to its lineup after a loss Saturday night to the Anaheim Ducks. The Wild is in Phoenix Monday night to face the Coyotes.

Rupp, 33, has 94 career points and 765 career penalty minutes in 565 NHL games as a center. He's been in the NHL for 10 seasons with the Devils, Coyotes, Bluejackets, Penguins and most recently the Rangers. He had five points in 60 regular season games last year.

Powe and Palmieri are both forwards. In his first season with the Wild, Powe had 13 points in 82 games. Palmieri has 25 career points in 87 NHL games.
