DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Teddy Blueger had a goal and two assists to lead Minnesota State, Mankato to a 4-2 win on Friday over Minnesota-Duluth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Mavericks (17-9-3, 11-9-1) put 22 of their 41 shots on goal in the third period. Blueger, Zack Lehrke and Eriah Hayes had goals as MSUM won in Duluth for the first time since January 2006.
Austin Farley and Mike Seidel scored back-to-back goals to give the Bulldogs (10-14-3, 8-10-3) a 2-1 lead after two periods.
Matt McNeely made 19 saves in the third period, but it wasn’t enough to keep Minnesota-Duluth from losing its fourth straight game, something it hasn’t done since 2008.
Stephon Williams made 26 saves for No. 11 MSUM.
