Wisconsin Holds Off Bemidji State 3-2

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Kevin Schulze scored what proved to be the winning goal midway through the second period as Wisconsin held on to beat Bemidji State 3-2.

Keegan Meuer and Brendan Woods scored in the first period for the Badgers (12-9-7, 9-6-7) in Saturday's Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.

Bemidji State (5-17-6, 4-13-5) came back on goals by Aaron McLeod late in the second period and Brance Orban at 3:14 of the third.

Wisconsin goalie Landon Peterson made 18 saves. He faced only seven shots in the third period.

Bemidji State goalie Mathieu Dugas made seven saves before he was replaced in the second period. Andrew Walsh had 10 stops.

Bemidji State is winless in its last 12 games. The teams tied 2-2 on Friday.
