OLD DUTCH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Chase Coley
Sport – Girls Basketball
High School – Minneapolis Washburn
Class – Junior
The junior had two exceptional games as the Millers defeated Minneapolis Edison and Minneapolis North last week. Chase had 19 points, 17 rebounds, 8 blocks, 6 assists and 7 steals against Washburn and followed that up with 16 points, 18 rebounds, 11 blocks, 10 assists and 7 steals against North. Her statistics vs. North gave Chase her first quadruple double of the season and left her three steals from a quintuple double. She previously had five triple doubles this season. Chase eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone earlier this season and is 57 points away from becoming Washburn’s career scoring leader. Earlier this season she blocked 21 shots in a single game, which is a state record. Coley is a team captain, she volunteers with the Urban Stars Athletic Club, carries a 3.3 GPA and enjoys knitting and ceramics
