MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Nine more people have died from the flu, bringing the season’s total to 136 deaths, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
The department said 72 people were hospitalized with confirmed influenza last week.
Since the start of the season, 2,703 people have been hospitalized, according to a release from the department.
The latest numbers were released Thursday for week six — Feb. 3-9.
Three long-term car facilities reported outbreaks of the flu in week six. Since the start of the season, 139 outbreaks of the flu in long-term care facilities have been reported.
