ST. PAUL (WCCO) — Sen. Amy Klobuchar is trying to drum up more support for Minnesota businesses.
On Monday, she kicked off a two-day tour called Exporting Minnesota. She wants to help local businesses to export their goods in the global market.
Her first stop on the tour was to Lake Region Medical Center in Chaska.
“Lake Region Medical is a great example of this,” said Klobuchar. “This is a company that makes stuff, invents thing, exports to the world. It is an international company, yet employs over 1,000 people right here in the Twin Cities.”
Klobuchar just got appointed to the President’s Exports Council.
