St. Paul Breaks Record For Largest Lite Brite
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- St. Paul turned on the magic of colored light over the weekend, as more than 500,000 small bulbs added up to one gigantic illuminated portrait.
On Saturday night, they flipped the lights on a giant Lite Brite mural at the Union Depot to kick off the Forever St. Paul Challenge, which calls for the next "million-dollar-idea" for the city.
The huge version of the popular retro kids' toy had more than half a million pegs.
The previous record for the largest Lite Brite was set five years ago with just 347,000 pegs.
