MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Google officials announced Wednesday that they are going to help technical entrepreneurs in Minneapolis.

There was an announcement at the old Grain Exchange Building, which is now called CoCo. Entrepreneurs currently share that work space. Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak said that the City of Minneapolis became the milling capitol of the world because of the wisdom and innovation that took place in that building.

Rybak said Minneapolis can become a global powerhouse again. There will be a Google developer group meeting Wednesday night. Google officials are also planning a program called “Startup Weekend Twin Cities” for technical entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas.
