MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The University of Minnesota women’s basketball team fell to 5-9 in the Big 10 after a 75-63 loss to Purdue on Sunday at Williams Arena.
Rachel Banham led the Gophers with 21 points and six assists. Micaella Riche added 13 points and nine rebounds. Sari Noga also had 12 points and two steals.
The Gophers shot just 29 percent from the field in the second half of the loss. Banham had 17 of her 21 points in the first half.
Minnesota (16-12, 5-9) will host Penn State at 8 p.m. Thursday on Senior Night at Williams Arena.
