MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Warroad’s Lisa Marvin is the Minnesota Associated Press Player of the Year award winner for high school girls hockey.
Marvin was joined Tuesday on the AP all-state team by forwards Dani Cameranesi of Blake and Nicole Schammel of Red Wing, defenders Paige Haley of Red Wing and Sidney Morin of Minnetonka, and goalie Sydney Rossman of Minnetonka.
Marvin finished the season with 32 goals and 63 assists in 30 games, according to state high school league statistics. She is Minnesota’s all-time leader in assists.
In her fifth straight trip to the state tournament last weekend, Marvin scored six times to lead the Warriors to a runner-up finish in Class 1A. They lost to Blake in the championship.
Marvin will play next season at North Dakota.
