MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police say social services have been alerted after a 4-year-old boy in Forest Lake tried walking to school while his mother slept.
On Wednesday morning in Forest Lake, police say the boy woke up, dressed himself and went outside to wait for his school bus. When he didn’t think it was coming, he started walking and made it about a half block before a school bus stopped to get him.
Police were then called to Central Learning Center at 10:30 a.m. to figure out what happened. Apparently, the boy’s mother was on new medication and overslept.
The boy was not hurt.
