FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — New Phillies center fielder Ben Revere got off to a fast start against his former team with two hits and a steal Wednesday in Philadelphia’s 12-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins.

Revere also scored twice. The Twins traded him to the Phillies for pitcher Vance Worley and pitching prospect Trevor May during the offseason.

Aaron Hicks, who hopes to inherit Revere’s old job, doubled and singled for the Twins. He drove in two runs and scored once. Josh Willingham had three hits for Minnesota and Ryan Doumit homered.

Twins starting pitcher Kevin Correia, who left Fort Myers for San Diego after the start to be with his wife for the birth of their third child, gave up three runs in 2 1-3 innings. He allowed five hits and two walks.
