Teen Killed In Northwestern Minnesota Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 16-year-old boy is dead after a crash in far northwestern Minnesota Tuesday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at about 2:54 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 32 at mile post 69. When authorities arrived, a vehicle has crossed the center line on southbound Highway 32 and hit a 2003 Freightliner Conventional semi-truck.

The driver of the car, Cody W. Christianson of Fertile, was killed at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck suffered no apparent injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol and the Polk County Sheriff's Office say what led up to the accident is still under investigation.
