Cabin Fire Kills 1 In Northern Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a body was found inside a burned cabin early Wednesday morning in northern Minnesota.

The Cloquet Area Fire District, Carlton County Sheriff’s Office and Fon du Lac Police responded at about 6:07 a.m. to a structure fire at a cabin in the small town of Sawyer, located just west of Cloquet. When authorities arrived, the cabin was destroyed by fire and the remains of a body were discovered inside.

Authorities said the victim has not yet been identified, and what caused the fire is still under investigation.
