SAWYER, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 50-year-old man who died in a fire that destroyed a cabin in northeastern Minnesota.

An autopsy determined that Raymond William Smith of Cloquet died of accidental smoke inhalation.

Smith’s body was found in the ruins of the family-owned cabin in rural Sawyer.

The Carlton County sheriff’s office says the fire was reported about 6 a.m. Wednesday. The state fire marshal’s office is helping investigate the cause of the fire.
