MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s nearing last call for ice fishermen across the state.
In the southern two-thirds of Minnesota, fish houses have to be off the ice by Monday. The northern third of the state has until March 18.
The DNR also wants to make sure people play it safe when removing the structures from the ice.
Conservation officers are urging people to check the thickness of the ice before getting their ice house.
