Good Question: 'Reply All': Spring Training & Free Credit Reports

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The first day of March has many thinking spring thoughts, so let's start with a question from Daniel about spring training: Why do the Twins train in Ft. Myers?

Mark Rosen's been covering the Twins at spring training in Fort Myers since their first year there in 1991.

The Twins trained in Orlando from when they were the Washington Senators. The last season there was in 1990. Fort Myers wanted the Twins the most. Orlando didn't need spring training as much, but Fort Myers wanted the tourism.

The Twins facility there is not just for spring training; they've got the minor league Ft. Myers Miracle playing and the Gulf Coast League Twins. The space has five full fields, offices -- the whole deal, really.

Next Question:

You may have seen the commercials for Free Credit Reports.

But they're not exactly free. Most commercial free credit report websites are actually trying to sign you up for a paid credit monitoring service. It go Jerry from Aitkin asking: Can I really get a free credit report?

You can.

It's possible because the government makes the three major credit agencies do it. The website is AnnualCreditPeport.com.

Once every 12 months you can go on, and because of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion have to give you a free copy of your credit report.

AnnualCreditReport.com doesn't give you your credit score, but since one in five of us have mistakes in our credit reports, you should take a look at it.
