DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Justin Crandall and Chris Casto each had a goal and an assist as Minnesota-Duluth defeated Alabama-Huntsville 4-2 in men’s hockey on Friday.
The Bulldogs (11-17-5) outshot the Chargers 43-27. Tony Cameranesi and Cody Danberg added goals against the Chargers (3-20-1), who are playing their final series of the season.
The Bulldogs snapped a nine-game winless streak, their longest since an 0-7-2 run in 2000-2001
Alabama-Huntsville had not played a game since Feb. 9.
It was the third game between the two teams. The Bulldogs a 3-0-0 and have outshot the Chargers 140-67 in the three games.
Matt McNeely made 25 saves for Minnesota-Duluth, while John Griggs stopped 39 shots for Alabama-Huntsville.
