DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Austin Farley and Tony Cameranesi had a goal and two assists apiece to lead Minnesota-Duluth to a 4-0 men’s hockey win over Alabama-Hunstville on Saturday.
Farley scored on the power play at 5:18 of the second period to give the Bulldogs (12-17-5) a 3-0 lead. He assisted on the Bulldogs’ first two goals by Cameranesi and Mike Seidel.
UMD snapped a nine-game winless streak with a 4-2 win in Friday’s series opener. The Bulldogs improved to 4-0-0 all-time against UAH.
It was the final game of the season for the Chargers (3-21-1), an independent team joining the WCHA next season.
Aaron Crandall had 23 saves for UMD, which outshot the Chargers 46-23.
