MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Gophers junior Micaella Riche had a big week for the Minnesota women’s basketball team, one that resulted in a pair of victories.
Riche was named the Big 10 Player of the Week for her effors as the Gophers beat No. 7 Penn State and Indiana last week. She scored 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field in the win over Penn State. Riche added 17 points and 15 rebounds in the win over Indiana.
It’s the second time she’s earned Big 10 Player of the Week honors. Riche also earned the honor during the first week of the season in mid-November.
