Police Investigating Murder In South Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are on the scene of an apparent murder in south Minneapolis Monday morning.

Authorities responded to a report of a shooting just before 4:30 a.m. in an apartment on the 2800 block of Cedar Avenue South. When police got to the scene, an adult male was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died a short time later.

Police said there is no suspect in custody at this time, and anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis Police. Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim.
