MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities have released the identity of a man killed in a south Minneapolis shooting Monday morning.
Just before 4:30 a.m., authorities responded to a report of a shooting in an apartment on the 2800 block of Cedar Avenue South. When police got to the scene, an adult male was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Frank Kent Patterson, 48, of Minneapolis.
According to the Medical Examiner, Patterson died as a result of a gunshot wound to the abdomen. His manner of death: homicide.
No suspects have been arrested yet.
Minneapolis Police are currently investigating.
