Top Seeds Advance In Boys State Hockey Tourney

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The top three seeds in the Class 2A Minnesota Boys State Hockey Tournament did what they usually do in the first round -- win.

Hill-Murray, Dululth East and Edina all advanced to Friday night's semi-finals at the Xcel Energy Center.

But the most talked about moment from Thursday night's quarterfinals came from the match-up between Wayzata and Centennial. On the power play in the second period, Centennial's shot trickled behind the Wayzata goalie. They needed an instant replay on that one. The call: no goal.

Wayzata went on to take the game with a 2-1 score.
