MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 16-year-old girl from Sacred Heart, Minn., died Friday after a two-car crash in Yellow Medicine County, authorities say.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Meagan Siemieniewski was driving southbound on Highway 212 at about 11:36 a.m. Friday when her 1999 Ford pickup collided with a car driven by Mitchell Hanson, 57, of Elk River, Minn., heading northbound.

Hanson suffered minor injuries.

The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, and the Montevideo and Granite Falls ambulances responded.
