Depeche Mode To Perform At Minnesota State Fair

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Words are very unnecessary, because all you've ever wanted, all you've ever needed will be here in the arms of the Great Minnesota Get-Together this year.

Depeche Mode has announced concert dates for their forthcoming Delta Machine World Tour, and this August the band's road trip will take them straight to the Minnesota State Fair.

The synth-pop band is scheduled to play at the fair on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Depeche Mode have been uniting fans of post-disco dance music, electronic pop and new wave ever since their 1981 single "Just Can't Get Enough." Their other hits include "Personal Jesus," "Enjoy the Silence," "Dream On" and "Never Let Me Down Again."

"I'm really looking forward to getting out there and performing. There are so many die hard Depeche Mode fans who have been with us every step of this journey that I can't wait to see," lead singer Dave Gahan said. "I also hope that we gain some new fans with the release of Delta Machine, and I look forward to exposing them to a great Depeche Mode live performance."

The band will be kicking off their promotional push for "The Delta Machine," their 13th studio album, with an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" as well as an extended live online set on "Live on Letterman" this Monday, beginning at 7 p.m.

Ticket information is available at DepecheMode.com, LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.
