Old Dutch High School Athlete of the Week: Mason Campion

OLD DUTCH HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Mason Campion

High School – Marshall
Class – Junior

The Junior goaltender was spectacular in the Class 1A boys state hockey tournament, setting two tournament records despite his team losing both games it played. Campion had 28 saves in the second period and 58 total saves against Duluth Marshall; both are records … set on his 17th birthday. Campion had 92 saves in two games, with 34 in the quarterfinals against Breck at Xcel Energy Center and 58 against Duluth Marshall in the consolation bracket at Mariucci Arena. Campion had a goals-against average of 1.59 and a save percentage of 95.2 for the Marshall Tigers, who made the first trip to state in school history.
