MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 56-year-old old man was seriously injured Thursday after he pulled out in front of a Ramsey County deputy’s squad car.
The crash happened around 10:50 a.m. Thursday at Lexington Avenue and Nelson in Shoreview, Minn.
Randall Herman, of Shoreview, was driving a 2010 Toyota Prius west on Nelson and turned onto Lexington Avenue in front of a squad car with its lights and sirens on.
Authorities say he was seriously injured but did not release the details of those injuries.
The State Patrol said 50-year-old Ronald Durkot, of Arden Hills, was driving the squad car at the time of the crash. He suffered minor injuries.
The State Patrol is investigating.
