MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Metro Transit officials are on the scene of an accident involving a vehicle and Minneapolis light rail car.

John Siqveland, of Metro Transit, said the train was heading south when a vehicle slid into its side at 42nd Street South.

The train was stopped for about 20 minutes while crews worked to clean up the scene.

According to WCCO Radio’s Laura Oakes (who was a passenger on the train), Metro Transit allowed the train to proceed after the collision.

No one was injured in the crash.

The scene has been cleared.

The investigation is ongoing.
