PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Full-time position adding to our production staff, primarily as TD/Director but also including other positions as needed. This is not an entry-level position.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

TD/Direct live daily newscasts and other productions, including occasional special events, using ROSS OverDrive automation. Must understand and accept the responsibility that comes with directing at this level. Collaborate effectively with producers and lead technical crew in executing clean shows. Requires solid knowledge and skills within all areas of news and studio production: OverDrive automation, audio, CG, server playback, robotic camera operation, and iNews NRCS. When not directing, this person may be responsible for robotic camera operation, setting up audio for newscasts, tuning in live shots, ingesting commercials and programs, or working in master control. The ability to multitask and work accurately in a fast- paced, high-pressure, dead-line driven broadcast environment is essential. Candidate is required to join IBEW Union if not currently a member.

• Must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and push 75 pounds

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a broadcast news environment
