MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Apple Valley will play Park Center for the Class 4A boys basketball championship.

Tyus Jones had 23 points, six steals and five assists to help Apple Valley held on to beat Eden Prairie 62-55 on Friday in the semifinals, putting the Eagles in position for their first state title in the sport.

Jones scored 16 of his points after halftime, and Brock Bertram added nine points and 13 rebounds for Apple Valley (30-1).

The only loss the Eagles had all season actually came to Park Center in December by a 72-70 decision.

Devin Buckley had 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead Park Center past Edina 66-44 in the other semifinal, and Quinton Hooker added 14 points.

The Pirates (28-3) held Edina to 22.8 percent shooting (13 for 57).
