Throw Axes, Fly Fish At Northwest Sportshow

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's time once again to get out into the great outdoors ... sort of. The Northwest Sportshow is arriving at the Minneapolis Convention Center this weekend.

This year's edition remains a one-stop shop for the die-hard sporting type or the layman alike.

Among the newest attractions at this year's show is the Lumberjack Feud, which pits professional lumberjacks against each other. Not far away, you can also take in another lumberjack favorite: log-rolling.

There's also a display that gives people the chance to find out how to go fly fishing, which is decidedly different than your standard spool-and-bobber style of fishing.

The Northwest Sportshow starts on Thursday and runs through Sunday at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Tickets are $11 for adults, but kids 15 and younger get in free.
