MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Several people got an early morning wake up call in Brooklyn Center, after a fire in their apartment building.

The fire started shortly after midnight on the 6400 block of Camden Avenue North at the Melrose Gates Apartments.

Fire officials say a building was evacuated and several departments responded.

Flames were apparently shooting out of the second and third floor.

Six units were badly damaged, though exact estimates are not yet known.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Investigators are still looking for what might have caused the fire.
