Man Killed In Mpls. Hit-&-Run ID'd; Reward Offered For Info

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Minneapolis man who was killed in a hit-and-run last week has been identified. Now, a reward has been offered for information leading to the suspect's apprehension.

According to Sgt. William Palmer, the hit-and-run occurred on March 23 in the area of 32nd Street East and Snelling Avenue South around 2:30 a.m. A pedestrian was stuck and later died at HCMC.

The Medical Examiner says the pedestrian, identified as 42-year-old Daniel William Vaughn, died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries due to impact of the vehicle.

Police say the driver who hit the Vaughn did not stop to render aid or call 911.

Minneapolis Police are investigating.

A $1,000 reward has been offered by Crime Stoppers of Minnesota. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-8477.
