Polls Open For Spring Election In Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Polls are open for the spring election in Wisconsin.

Voters Tuesday are deciding races for state superintendent and Supreme Court, among many other local contests.

The Government Accountability Board is predicting that 20 percent of eligible voters will cast ballots. That would be more than double the number of voters who showed up in the February primary.

In the two statewide races, the current officeholder raised significantly more money than the opponent and benefited from television advertising from third-party groups. Justice Pat Roggensack faces Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone, while Superintendent Tony Evers is being challenged by Republican state Rep. Don Pridemore. Both races are officially nonpartisan.
